Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of asphalt paving processes. This role involves working on various construction sites, ensuring that asphalt is properly laid and maintained to meet project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, graders, loaders, and front loader trucks to prepare and pave surfaces.
- Perform utility locating to ensure safe operations around existing underground utilities.
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of roads, parking lots, and other asphalt surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to build and pave asphalt according to project plans and specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with backhoes, graders, loaders, and bulldozers.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and construction site practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow directions accurately.
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods during shifts.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to contributing positively to the crew's success.
