Description
Experience: Minimum of six months in a physician office setting performing check-in functions.
- Answers appointment scheduling line and schedules patient appointments in a timely manner per established protocols.
- Ensures accuracy of data input at time of scheduling.
- Coordinates appointments with tech and physician as necessary.
- Responds to patient questions and needs by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments as necessary.
- Create telephone encounters for patient questions and assigns to appropriate staff members
- Rescheduling appointments for assigned providers
- Maintains a working knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance plans, workers’ compensation, etc.
- Other Duties as assigned
