Job Title: Dental Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing high-quality oral healthcare to patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience and supporting the smooth operation of the dental office.

Responsibilities -

• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Take and develop dental x-rays and intraoral images
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical documentation
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models

Skills -

• Proficient in HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for capturing accurate dental images
• Proficiency in four-handed dentistry to assist efficiently during procedures
• Understanding of dental practice operations and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong Communication skills and a friendly compassionate personality

Schedule - Monday to Friday, weekends as needed.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• X-ray certification
• Bi-lingual is a plus
