OPTICIAN/OPTOMETRY ASSISTANT
Busy and growing private Optometry practice seeking energetic, friendly, hardworking, honest, and professional individual to join our team. Must be available to work Saturdays. Optometry experience or optician license/degree are a plus but NOT required as we will train the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Answering phones
- Booking appointments
- Verifying insurance coverages
- Assisting doctor with patient workup and pretesting
- Optical dispensing
- Optical sales
- Optical billing
- General office administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST be fluent in English, and good communication skills
- MUST be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- MUST possess some computer and general office skills
- MUST be friendly, reliable, professional, and willing to learn in a progressive team environment
SKILLS THAT ARE PLUSES:
- Customer service and/or sales experience
- Experience using OfficeMate Optometry practice management/EHR software
- Familiarity with Vision insurance companies and plans
- Optical experience (dispensing, sales, adjusting, edging glasses, etc.)
- Optical billing experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
