About the Role

Pinnacle Medical Group Care Partners is an organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Medicare Advantage members. We are looking for a Traveling Medical Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient care and working independently in the field—similar to an EMT-style role, but focused on preventative care and point-of-care testing in patients’ homes and wellness centers. Travel will include Reno, Sparks, Carson City and the rural areas such as Yerington, Silver Springs, Dayton, Gardnerville, Fernley, etc.

Key Responsibilities

· Travel to patient homes and wellness centers to provide in-home healthcare services

· Greet patients, verify patient identity, and ask required screening questions

· Perform and document:

o Vital signs

o Blood draws

o Point-of-care testing

o Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screenings

o Diabetic Retinopathy screenings

o Peripheral Neuropathy screenings

o Peripheral Vascular Disease screenings

· Accurately enter and upload results into the EMR system

· Upload reports and documentation to patient charts

· Work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners and fellow Medical Assistants

· Maintain professionalism, patient dignity, and HIPAA compliance at all times

Qualifications

· Medical Assistant experience preferred (EMT, mobile healthcare, or phlebotomy experience a plus)

· Comfortable performing blood draws and point-of-care testing

· Previous EMR experience preferred

· Strong communication and patient interaction skills

· Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

· Ability to work independently while traveling between locations

· Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

· Must be willing to commute to Reno, Carson City, and Fernley, NV
