Education, Experience, Certifications And Licensure Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least on year of experience serving tables in an upscale dining venue preferred.
- Responsible for the resident dining satisfaction. You are responsible for the people in your section from the time they sit down until they leave the dining room.
- Place food orders and deliver food and drink to residents in proper “fine dining” fashion.
- Clearing courses and perform cleaning of assigned dining areas.
- Participate in set-up and breakdown of special function events.
- Attend all mandatory in-service training sessions. .
- Assist with the training and development of other servers as requested by management.
- Assist in restocking and sanitation of wait stations and service areas used during service.
- Servers maintain the highest level of productivity and professionalism.
- Enter food and beverage orders into the system used to communicate with the kitchen
- All other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of dining room procedures, presentation, service, bussing, customer relations and sanitation
- Comfortable using personal computers and handheld devices. Must be able to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to read, write and communicate using the English language
- Ability to taste, smell and see with or without corrected vision.
- Comfortable working with older adults.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing multiple tasks while maintaining the highest level of productivity and professionalism.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Extensive walking, pulling, pushing, carrying, bending, stooping and standing
- Exposure to heat and cold in a food production environment.
- Must be neat and clean at all times.
- Universal worker. Flexibility in scheduling as working evenings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather is required.
- Exposure to the sights, sounds, odors found in a typical healthcare environment including persons with dementia.
