Education, Experience, Certifications And Licensure Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related experience is preferred.
- Responsible for the customer's dining satisfaction.
- Place food orders and deliver food and drink to residents as trained
- Clearing courses and performing cleaning of assigned dining areas.
- Participate in set-up and breakdown of special function events.
- Attend all mandatory in-service training sessions.
- Assist with the training and development of other servers as requested.
- Assist in restocking and sanitation of wait stations and service areas used during service.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Knowledge of dining room procedures, presentation, service, bussing, customer relations and sanitation
- Comfortable using personal computers and handheld devices. Must be able to use Microsoft Office
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Comfortable working with older adults.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing multiple tasks while maintaining the highest level of productivity and professionalism.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Extensive walking, pulling, pushing, carrying, bending, stooping and standing
- Ability to, taste, and smell.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Exposure to heat and cold in a food production environment.
- Must be neat and clean at all times..
- Cross training, flexibility and working some holidays and during inclement weather are required in dining services to meet the needs of the community
