What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper (Part Time, Weekends) position at Pinnacle Health & Rehab at N.Berwick?
Pinnacle Health and Rehab at North Berwick is now accepting applications for a part-time weekend Housekeeper position.
The right candidates will have a proven history of punctuality and attendance, attention to detail, and most importantly a willingness to learn and be trained in all aspects of housekeeping in a nursing facility.
Essential Job Duties That Must Be Safely Performed With or Without Reasonable Accommodation:
1. Regular, punctual attendance.
2. Closely follow the cleaning schedule outlined for the housekeeping staff, adhering to established procedures.
3. Perform emergency housekeeping services as asked when accidents occur.
4. Clean floors, carpets, walls, ceilings and movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures by dry/wet mopping, vacuuming, spot-cleaning, washing, dusting, polishing and disinfecting. This includes all areas of the facility as assigned: resident rooms, resident and public restrooms, hallways, stairways, elevator, offices and all other multiple and specific function areas.
5. Replace slipcovers, scarves, doilies and floor mats as necessary when soiled.
6. Inspect for damage, straighten and rearrange furniture as necessary and as requested.
7. Empty, clean and reline wastebaskets.
8. Replenish resident and public restroom supplies.
9. Replenish supplies in the housekeeping carts used. Clean and maintain all equipment used.
10. Report observations concerning structural or equipment wear, defect or malfunction to supervisor.
11. Prepare and handle cleaning solutions as indicated by instructions.
12. Keep chemical and solutions secured/locked and out of residents’ reach.
13. Do not mix chemicals together.
14. Attend mandatory facility in services.
15. Dispose of trash in the dumpster & close dumpster door.
16. Complete any documentation assigned by supervisor.
17. Disinfect urinals, bed pans and commodes daily on assigned work areas.
