Pinnacle Health & Rehab North Berwick is seeking passionate, energetic, and strong customer service oriented Activities Aide to work weekends. The Activities Aide is responsible for assist in coordinating and conducting all internal resident activities.
- Regular, punctual attendance.
- Provide residents with an opportunity for intellectual development through group discussions, books, records, tapes, lectures, films, cultural events, etc. for large and small groups, as well as individuals based on comprehension.
- Stimulate our residents by offering activities that promote mental, intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical well-being.
- Promote social interaction and communication among residents through organized parties and games.
- Promote varied craft activities for residents to provide sensory stimulation.
- Include and encourage residents in helping to plan events.
- Encourage residents to attend activities and assist them to the area where the activity is being held.
- Visit with residents one-on-one regularly.
- Deliver and assist with reading personal mail at resident’s request.
- Maintain daily records of resident activities attended.
- Decorate specified facility areas for seasonal and special events to provide a stimulating surrounding.
- Maintain order, organization and neatness in activity areas.
- Uphold safety practices through adequate supervision of residents in activity areas and during activities.
Other Duties:
- Establishes and maintains communication with residents and coworkers to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction.
- Transports residents inside and outside of the facility to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner.
- Respects and protects resident and facility confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and resident information private.
- Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure the safe delivery of residents.
- Regularly participates in ongoing education to improve knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Current CPR or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent communication skills.
