Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering reliable maintenance and facility support services across all assigned sites. This role ensures that buildings, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained while supporting a safe environment for residents/participants, staff, volunteers, and vendors. The position requires hands-on technical skills, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
- Provide general maintenance services at all assigned facilities
- Perform monthly safety inspections and checks
- Conduct quarterly battery checks for emergency and safety equipment
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building systems including:
- General repairs and handyman work
- HVAC/AC upkeep
- Appliances
- Plumbing and basic electrical systems
- Participate in Health & Safety and Risk Management committees
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards for residents/participants, staff, volunteers, and vendors
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools required for maintenance work
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times:
- Collared shirt and neat pants or shorts
- Hair kept neat
- Clean-shaven face or neatly trimmed beard/mustache (if applicable)
- Travel between three facility sites as required
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in building maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, and tools used in general building trades
- General knowledge of stationary equipment operation
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Position is primarily physical in nature
- Ability to lift 30 pounds or more
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, stretch, reach, and use fine motor skills/dexterity
- Adequate hearing ability (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Ability to demonstrate coping skills and remain calm in unpredictable situations
- Potential exposure to:
- Infections and contagious or bloodborne diseases
- Cleaning chemicals and agents
- Trash and maintenance-related hazards
- Unpredictable client behavior

Pay: $23.46 - $26.44 per hour
