Occupational Therapy Assistants are responsible for treating patients with therapeutic and self-care activities. The job requires candidates to perform a variety of duties including the following: Monitoring a patients' progress to make sure that they're successfully completing treatment.
Essential Functions:
An Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in a nursing home works with the Occupational Therapist to provide personalized care for patients with mental, physical, emotional or developmental impairments.
Plan, organize, and follow Physical Therapist goals to work towards maximizing independence with all functional activites with all patients.
Ensure effective communication with the therapy team to work towards all patients' goals and plan of treatment
Position Qualifications and Education: Graduate of an accredited Occapational Therapist Assistant Program.
Licensed OTA in state assigned.
