Summary: Oversees the delivery of clinical activities for the nursing department on designated shift (evening) in accordance with current Federal State and Affinity Healthcare rules, regulations and guidelines for skilled nursing facilities. Ensure the quality of resident care and manage daily operations for the assigned unit or shift.

- Assumes administrative authority for the facility during assigned shift in the absence of nursing leadership
- Responsible for the coordination and management of all resident care needs. operations and nursing personnel on a designated unit or shift.
- Make frequent rounds on all nursing units to ensure all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with Affinity Healthcare code of conduct
- Assign duties, monitor performance and provide guidance to nursing and behavioral health personnel
- Implement care plans, administer medications and treatments
- Communicate with families and vendors
- Ensure proper documentation
- Provide updates to Director of Nursing as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Previous nursing home experience preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, vendors and emergency personnel
