Legacy Solutions Inc. is currently hiring on behalf of a charter school partner for dependable and student-focused Bus Monitors. The Role
The Bus Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety of students by providing supervisory monitoring of students during transportation to/from school and on trips. Bus Monitors particularly ensure the safety of the school’s youngest scholars (i.e. Kindergarten students) and special education students.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Experience working with students (preferred)
Expectations
Our expectations for the Bus Monitor include, but are not limited to, the following:
Enjoys working with children and fostering a safe, caring environment
Firm yet fair approach to managing student behavior
Strong communication skills with both students and staff
Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic situations
Consistent punctuality and reliability
Ability to quickly learn and follow school systems and procedures
Key Responsibilities
Supervise students during loading, unloading, and transit to maintain a safe and orderly environment
Assist young children and students with special needs as required
Maintain clear communication with drivers and school staff regarding student behavior and safety
Uphold the school’s expectations for safety, respect, and care at all times
Support other school operations as needed to ensure smooth daily transportation
