Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead client relationships, oversee engagements, and support the development of our accounting team. This posting is open to candidates at the Manager or Senior Manager level, with title and responsibilities determined based on experience.
We're looking for someone who can see both the details and the bigger picture, someone who takes ownership, asks the right questions, and ensures our work consistently meets the high standards our clients expect.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting, tax, and financial engagements for an assigned portfolio.
- Build strong relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and other work for accuracy and quality.
- Manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines across assigned engagements.
- Delegate work and provide clear direction to team members.
- Coach, mentor, and support the development of accounting staff.
- Identify issues, opportunities, and planning needs proactively.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on complex matters and client needs.
- Support efficient processes and continuous improvement across the firm.
- Senior-level candidates may take on broader leadership, team development, and firm-wide responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of professional accounting and/or tax experience, with level and title determined based on experience.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and tax.
- Experience reviewing work and managing multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism appropriate for high-touch client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop others.
- Strong judgment and the ability to identify issues beyond the immediate task.
- An ownership mindset with a willingness to question, problem-solve, and continuously improve.
