Loan Clerk

COMPENSATION: Hourly $18 - $20

Responsibilities And Duties

• Process loan paid outs – file real estate releases, mail paid original documents to customer.
• Maintains all original loan documents in consistent and orderly manner.
• Process and prepare loan payments, loan payoffs, advances, escrow payments, insurance payments, loan participations and loan purchases.
• File UCC financing statements for proper extensions, modifications & terminations. File vehicle title and process releases.
• Greets customers and answers phone. Provide telephone customer service and support for external and internal customers regarding inquiries and problem resolution. Researches and resolves problems as needed.
• Provide clerical support.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of basic accounting.
• Skill in communicating with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
• Ability to function as a team player.
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous banking experience or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Previous experience with computer software.

Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing required, only occasionally.
