Job Overview
Pinkerton Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Receptionist/Client Service Representative to join our veterinary team. In this important role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and patients, helping create a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork and excellent customer service. This is a full-time Monday–Friday position with no weekends required, plus paid holidays.

Duties
- Greet clients warmly and assist with patient check-in and check-out
- Answer phones professionally and assist clients with scheduling appointments, medication requests, and general questions
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records
- Communicate clearly with veterinarians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Assist with administrative duties including filing, email communication, and record management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Provide compassionate and professional customer service to clients during both routine and urgent situations
- Help support daily clinic operations in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary clinic or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Comfortable around dogs and cats
- Basic computer and phone skills required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
