Tax Return Preparer / Reviewer (Flexible Schedule | Remote or In-Office)
Our client is a well-established, family-run CPA firm serving individuals, families, farms, and small businesses throughout Central Texas. The firm is known for its long-standing client relationships and personalized service. They are currently modernizing internal systems and workflows and are looking for an experienced tax professional to join their team.
This is a flexible hourly position that can be fully remote or based out of the firm’s office in Kyle, Texas. Hours may vary seasonally, with the potential for part-time hours during slower summer months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review individual and business tax returns
- Participate in the firm’s two-person review process to ensure accuracy and quality
- Identify issues, missing information, and potential tax concerns
- Maintain organized digital files and documentation
- Complete work accurately and within deadlines
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working with digital files and remote collaboration
Preferred:
- Experience with farm/agriculture or construction-related returns
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus, but not required
- Experience working in a CPA or tax firm environment
