Our client is looking for an experienced accounting professional to oversee the accounting function for more than 30 companies, trusts, and investment entities.
This is a hands-on position responsible for every aspect of the accounting cycle—from entering transactions in QuickBooks Desktop and processing accounts payable to preparing monthly financial statements, reviewing tax returns, and working directly with the outside CPA. Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for 30 companies, trusts, and investment entities.
- Maintain general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable, payroll, and banking activity.
- Assemble tax information for individuals, trusts, and business entities.
- Review draft tax returns to ensure accuracy and consistency with the accounting records.
- Assist ownership with accounting and financial projects as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple entities.
- Experience working directly with outside CPA firms.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with real estate, trusts, investment entities, or oil & gas.
- Experience preparing tax workpapers and reviewing tax returns.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
