SUMMARY:

The position requires a dedicated individual who will take direction from the Human Resources Director in coordinating all recruitment, selection and placement activities for exempt and non-exempt level staffing. The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will assist in coordinating and facilitating programs for employee relations, great place to work initiatives, compensation, training, benefits, and leave administration in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Coaches, guides, leads by example, and creates an environment where people work as a team, and empower each other by being patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest and committed when interacting with one another and the guests

·        Manage or support all internal and external full cycle recruiting activities

·        Oversee career portal and applicant tracking system including training hiring managers on its use

·        Manage job requisitions and act as a liaison between HR and the hiring managers, developing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with departmental counterparts and leaders

·        Maintain current job descriptions for all positions at assigned properties

·        Create job postings and identify external sourcing opportunities within budget

·        Identify and build relationships with key community members to market employment brand to build quality candidate pool

·        Assist management and employees in Human Resources related issues and activities

·        Provide guidance and support to Leaders and employees on employee relations matters, escalating complex or sensitive cases

·        Report on, coordinate and track workers comp claims, leave of absence, disability and reasonable accommodation requests.

·        Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions, escalating to corporate benefits as needed

·        Maintain necessary records for employee personnel files

·        Utilizes or creates reports from HCM system for tracking and analyzing a variety of data and metrics

·        Comply with safety and security directives, policies and procedures

·        Facilitate new hire/re-hire orientation, and other leadership or HR compliance training as needed

·        Participate in administrative and operations meetings

·        Perform other related duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Bachelor’s degree in business/Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred

·        Experience in performing HR generalist functions specifically in the areas of full cycle recruiting, training, and employee relations

·        Experience in leave of absence administration a bonus

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Internet required

·        Experience with HCM systems; UKG and Workday a plus

·        Knowledge of state and federal selection guidelines and employment laws preferred

·        Experience with social media a plus

·        Excellent administrative, organizational, and time-management skills, detail orientation. Ability to organize and coordinate projects through completion

·        Excellent customer service and telephone skills, mature and professional manner; ability to communicate with poise and tact with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors

·        Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff and to prioritize, coordinate and complete assignments and projects in an accurate and timely manner

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·        Must handle sensitive confidential material responsibly

·        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, employment laws, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups

·        Strong interpersonal skills and ethics that generate and sustain a positive team atmosphere and professional environment

·        A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel if necessary

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to respond to emergencies when needed


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·        Successful completion of criminal background check

·        Ability to remain stationary or seated for long periods of time.

·        Physical strength, including the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
