Client Advisory & Technical Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive risk management strategies for grain, dairy, and/or livestock clients using futures, options, crop insurance, and cash market tools.
- Manage physical commodity trading activities, including cash contracts, logistics, and procurement/marketing strategies.
- Provide expert interpretation of complex market data and advise clients with actionable recommendations.
- Conduct regular on farm and executive level client visits to strengthen relationships.
- Manage and expand a portfolio of consulting clients; leverage existing industry relationships to drive new business.
- Present high value proposals that demonstrate clear financial and operational impact.
- Engage in industry events, conferences, and producer meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to firmwide thought leadership.
- 5 years of experience in commodity risk management, futures/options trading, physical commodity trading, agribusiness consulting, or related roles.
- Strong exposure to grain, livestock, or dairy markets with ability to advise producers and agribusinesses.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
- Detail oriented approach to navigating volatile commodity markets.
- Experience with CRM systems (Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to leverage data platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and digital communication methods to drive consulting value.
- Expertise in evaluating client challenges, interpreting multifactor market scenarios, and crafting tailored, strategic recommendations.
- Series 3 license required (or obtained within 60 days of start).
- Crop insurance licensing (MPCI/LRP/DRP/PRF) preferred.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% annually.
