- You actively supervise line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and support team members
- You oversee daily kitchen operations to maintain consistency in quality and speed
- You coach and train team members in the moment
- You ensure recipes and portion standards are followed without exception
- You enforce food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- You assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and break coordination
- You monitor inventory, receiving, storage, and proper rotation
- You communicate constantly with FOH leadership to keep service smooth
- You oversee dish operations to ensure cleanliness and flow
- You execute strong opening and closing procedures
- You step onto the line or into prep when the team needs support
If tickets stack up, you organize the line.
