Chief Cloud Architect and Lead Infrastructure SME

Location: Alexandria, Va

Required Clearance:  Must possess a favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation

Certifications: Possess one of the following certifications: CASP , CCNP Security, CISA, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, GSLC, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

Required Experience: Minimum of 6 years of DoD or Federal IT Architecture and/or Infrastructure experience.

Position Description:

PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared Chief Cloud Architect and Lead Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (CCALIS) to provide technical leadership and expert-level support for AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure in support of Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP) programs. CCALIS will guide the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments while ensuring compliance with DoD and federal standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:

·        Minimum of five years of experience in AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support.

·        Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in AWS GovCloud architecture, infrastructure design, and cloud operations.

·        Develop, implement, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with DoD and MC&FP requirements.

·        Lead infrastructure planning, system integration, cloud migration, and optimization initiatives.

·        Ensure compliance with federal and DoD cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and policies.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional development and operations teams within Agile and DevSecOps environments.

·        Advise stakeholders on infrastructure roadmaps, emerging technologies, and best practices.

·        Support incident response and system recovery related to infrastructure and cloud services.

·        Tier 5 Investigation

·        Master’s Degree

·        Minimum of five years of experience supporting cloud architecture and infrastructure in DevSecOps and Agile development environments.
