Overview
Ping is a venture-backed NYC startup helping people discover better ways to spend, shop, and experience the city. We are preparing for our soft launch and will be creating content around NYC lifestyle, food, pop-ups, street interviews, student life, local brands, and social experiences.
We’re looking for a NYC-based marketing Intern to help us create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms.
This role is a good fit for a student who is highly online, understands TikTok/Instagram culture, enjoys making videos, and wants hands-on experience building content for an early-stage consumer startup.
You do not need to have years of professional experience. We care more about your taste, creativity, willingness to shoot, and ability to make content that feels natural, fun, and platform-native.

Key Responsibilities
- Brainstorm TikTok / Reels content ideas for Ping
- Shoot short-form videos around NYC lifestyle, food, spending, pop-ups, and street interviews
- Capture behind-the-scenes content with the Ping team and interns
- Film content at pop-ups, events, and local activations
- Edit simple short-form videos using tools like CapCut, TikTok, Canva, or Adobe tools
- Research trends, sounds, formats, and creator accounts that could inspire Ping content
- Support content planning and help organize footage, captions, and posting ideas
- Potentially appear on camera or help direct other interns / team members on camera
Required Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate based in NYC
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, memes, and internet culture
- Interest in food, lifestyle, NYC events, pop-ups, campus culture, or consumer apps
- Basic editing skills, ideally with CapCut, TikTok, Canva, Premiere, or similar tools
- Creative, reliable, and willing to test different content ideas
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Able to attend occasional in-person shoots, pop-ups, and team content days in NYC
- Bonus if you are comfortable being on camera or already create content on your own account
