Work Schedule: 10.5-month contract
Salary: Based on PCA Salary Schedule and Experience
Location: Assigned Campus(es) within PCA
Position Summary:
The Student Success Coach is a critical member of the academic support team at Pineywoods Community Academy. Under the direction of the Student Success and Curriculum Implementation Coordinator, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework for assigned grade levels. The Student Success Coach uses data to inform decisions, facilitates targeted student intervention programs, supports Tier 1 and 2 instruction, and coordinates campus testing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Student Success and Curriculum Implementation Coordinator to implement the MTSS framework with fidelity.
Analyze academic and behavioral data (e.g., STAAR, MAP, local assessments, classroom performance) to identify students needing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
Design, implement, and facilitate small-group and individualized intervention programs aligned with student needs.
Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, and campus leadership to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
Track and document Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to support data-based decision-making and preparation for possible Special Education referrals.
Partner with Special Programs staff to identify students who may need additional diagnostic testing due to suspected but undiagnosed disabilities.
Serve as the Campus Testing Coordinator, managing logistics and compliance for state and local assessments, including STAAR, TELPAS, and benchmark testing.
Provide professional development and coaching to teachers on evidence-based Tier 1 and Tier 2 instructional strategies that promote student growth.
Support the development and implementation of student support plans in collaboration with grade-level teams, specialists, and families.
Maintain accurate documentation of intervention plans, progress monitoring, testing accommodations, and compliance-related activities.
Participate in data meetings, student success team meetings, and professional learning communities (PLCs).
Serve as a resource and advocate for high-leverage practices that support all learners, particularly those who are academically or behaviorally at risk.

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
Valid Texas teaching certification
Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Tier 1 and Tier 2 instructional strategies
Experience using student data to plan and implement instructional interventions
Preferred:
Master's degree in education, curriculum & instruction, or a related field
Experience with MTSS or RTI implementation
Experience serving as a campus or district testing coordinator
Experience leading professional development or instructional coaching
Knowledge of evidence-based intervention programs in reading, math, and/or behavior
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep understanding of instructional best practices and student-centered intervention models
Ability to use assessment data to inform decisions and measure student growth
Familiarity with state testing programs and compliance requirements
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Skilled in coaching, modeling, and supporting adult learners
Proficient with educational technology and digital data tools
