Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, the chemist position analyzes in-process, raw materials and finished product of pharmaceuticals for quality, safety, purity, strength and identity by conducting basic wet chemistry as specified in the applicable specification requirements following GLP and cGMP guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
? Perform routine analysis of finished pharmaceutical dosages and/or raw materials following analytical methodology.
? Operate basic and advanced laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, IR, and Karl Fischer.
? Maintain accurate, detailed records of work performed.
? Assist in ensuring testing is in adherence to schedules through team oriented process.
? Prepare reagents, standard, and sample solutions for analytical testing.
? Read and interpret USP and analytical methodology.
? Conduct peer review of analytical documentation.
? Assist in the writing of SOP?s and procedures.
? Follow cGMP and USP requirements
