We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide assists in preparing and serving meals to residents while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. This role is vital in supporting the nutritional well-being and overall quality of life for our residents.
Dietary Aide Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to posted menus and dietary restrictions.
Set up dining areas and deliver trays to residents’ rooms as needed.
Ensure all kitchen and dining areas are clean, organized, and meet sanitation and safety standards.
Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment used in meal preparation and service.
Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing food and supplies.
Follow proper food handling, portioning, and storage procedures.
Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers to promote a positive dining experience.
Report any issues with food quality, resident concerns, or kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with all regulations and facility policies.
Dietary Aide Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a dietary aide, especially in a healthcare setting, is a plus but not required.
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
Basic understanding of special diets and food allergies is helpful.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must pass background check and health screening per facility requirements.
