Maintenance Assistant (Part-Time)
Pineville Rehabilitation and Living Center – Pineville, NC
Pineville Rehabilitation and Living Center is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations of our facility. This role is essential in helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Maintenance Director to support routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with general maintenance tasks including repairs, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical work
- Support the facility’s preventive maintenance program
- Help ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are properly maintained
- Perform routine inspections of work areas, storage rooms, and equipment
- Assist with upkeep of utility and janitorial areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support facility needs
- Assist with preparing for and maintaining compliance during facility inspections and surveys
- Ensure outside vendors and service providers complete work as expected
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or facility setting
- Basic knowledge of building systems, repairs, and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening
Schedule:
Part-time hours with flexibility based on facility needs with required every other weekend availibility.
