We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Cabinetmaker to join our team and develop essential skills in custom cabinetry and woodworking. Responsibilities
- Assist senior cabinetmakers with cutting, shaping, and assembling wood components using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for cabinetry projects
- Support the fabrication process by measuring, marking, and preparing materials according to specifications
- Participate in the installation of cabinets, fixtures, and related components on-site or in the workshop
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Gain experience in related tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and finishing work
- Support various construction activities including caulking, drywall finishing, and minor repairs as needed
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction
Experience
- Prior experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, or carpentry is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic woodworking techniques is preferred
- Experience with construction site work or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Knowledge of schematics, metal stud framing, remodeling, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical or plumbing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Candidates with maintenance person experience or restoration industry background are encouraged to apply
- Willingness to learn new skills such as CNC fabrication, rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, or water damage restoration is valued
