Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Sous Chef role based in Pinetop, AZ. The Sous Chef will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety, and ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Executive Chef to design menus, managing food inventory, monitoring portion sizes, and ensuring the presentation of dishes meets the club’s standards. The Sous Chef will also play a key role in training kitchen staff and maintaining a positive, efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation expertise
- Experience in team leadership, staff supervision, and training in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
- Menu development and inventory management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Formal culinary education or equivalent professional kitchen experience required
- Previous experience in a country club, resort, or fine dining setting is a plus
