The district of approximately 1,250 students operates three TK-6 grade elementary schools: Jack London, Olivet Charter, and Morrice Schaefer Charter. For the secondary students, the Piner-Olivet Charter School serves students in grades 7th & 8th, while Northwest Prep serves students in grades 7th and 12th. The average size of our elementary schools is about 300 students, while our secondary schools are even smaller. Students are given the attention each one deserves. In addition to a strong academic program, our students are provided with a robust and well-rounded program that includes art, music, library studies, and PE. Job Summary

This Spanish/ELD Teacher position offers a chance to work with students in our 7-12th grade Project-Based Learning program as well as students in our K-12th grade Homestudy program. Northwest Prep is a unique, small, public charter school that touts a community and family atmosphere. This position allows applicants the opportunity to work with students as they develop their Spanish speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish 1-3. Applicants will also support the English Language Development of our Multilingual Learners. Lastly, this position offers the opportunity to work alongside our Project-based Learning teachers supporting multilingual learners and incorporating Spanish and world languages into our semester long projects.
