Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Retail Counter Salesperson located in Pinellas Park, FL. As a Retail Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting products, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring accurate transactions. Additional duties include managing inventory, restocking shelves, contributing to sales efforts, and upholding the store's cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers in person and over the phone, taking orders with precision and a professional demeanor.
- Order Execution: Process payments and manage orders through our Point-of-Sale (POS) system from start to finish.
- Technical Mastery: Learn our extensive product lines to assist customers with queries and provide fast, effective solutions.
- Precision Mixing: Master the art of making and mixing custom colors to meet exact specifications.
- Inventory Management: Update product inventory, stock shelves, and ensure the customer area remains neat and professional.
- Problem Solving: Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Experience in retail sales, with an ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer tasks.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a "customer-first" mindset. Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers and team members.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move 5-gallon paint buckets consistently. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site retail environment.
- Professionalism: Organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities. Good personal appearance and a reliable work ethic are essential.
- Strong knowledge of products, including coatings and industrial finishes.
