Description: Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. The Marketing Brand Specialist is responsible for promoting The Credit Union’s products and services to prospective key strategic partners. Their duties include answering the public’s questions about the Credit Union and its offerings, attending events and product launches to report about new products and providing feedback about the Credit Union using their digital platforms. Under immediate supervision and in accordance with established credit union policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. Must be familiar with standard business concepts, practices and procedures and have the ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver pitch presentations to prospective key strategic partners.
- Spearhead efforts to drive marketing branding initiative targeting select Employee Groups.
- Executing campaigns and programs; overseeing marketing efforts to support credit union departments, including deposit, lending, mortgage, business services and community/business development; and working closely with departmental leaders to design effective and efficient promotions to engage members and communities. Provides support, education and innovation for initiatives and tasks.
- Recommends, creates and implements tactics to drive business growth and maximize value.
- Conducts ongoing competitive analyses of marketing efforts, promotions and service offerings (industry/non-industry) and helps determine strategies to stay competitive, relevant and engaging.
- Actively aligns brand, marketing and member experience to enhance the Credit Union’s relationship with members and make doing business with the Credit Union easy and seamless
- Tracks, reviews and reports on performance of marketing efforts to maximize value and efficiency.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all credit union products and services, organizational policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations related to credit union operations. Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding current trends, laws, issues and best practices affecting area of expertise. Attend meetings, conferences, courses and workshops that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. This includes but not limited to BSA/AML Compliance Training and understanding employees’ role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML
- Assists in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Implements and oversee creative and content for physical and digital marketing materials. Manage digital media to ensure clear, effective communication and ease of navigation. Reviews content and design elements for accuracy and compliance. Works with website vendors and branches/departments to keep image, designs, information and linking current.
- Implements contact and lead management strategies to closely monitor all member and prospect contacts from lead generation through new member onboarding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and analyze/interpret complex documents and respond effectively to inquiries.
- Effective written/verbal communication, organization, presentation and time management skills.
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve complex problems, interpret and analyze marketing data, statistics and campaign data, and make and implement recommendations.
- Proficiency with common office equipment, computer software/hardware and internet usage in a business environment (requires repetitive keystrokes and manual dexterity).
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking on the phone and using the computer for extended periods of time, lifting up to 25 pounds, and some bending and stretching.
- Must be able to see, hear and use a telephone and read, write, speak and type English fluently. (Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.)
Education and Other Requirements:
- Associate Degree, preferably in marketing or communications from an accredited university.
- At least three years’ marketing experience in a financial institution preferred; credit union experience is a plus.
- Equivalent combination of education, skills, qualifications and experience will be considered.
- All applicants must have a clean criminal background and credit check.
