Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is opening May 2026! Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.
Position Summary:
Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards. Other duties include: Taking out the trash, Ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, delivering food to the patient floors, restocking items, cleaning appliances and machines. sweeping and mopping floors. Document temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift.
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
- Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)
- Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.
- Experience in healthcare foodservice desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
