Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal Intern for the summer to support our team with organizing and managing legal documents. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in law to gain hands-on experience in legal document management, analysis, and basic case organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, sort, and categorize legal documents (e.g., contracts, pleadings, correspondence).
• Identify and separate relevant legal materials from nonessential papers. Recognize and flag duplicate documents; determine which versions need to be retained.
• Determine which documents must be saved in accordance with firm policies or legal requirements. Assist in maintaining an organized filing system—both physical and digital.
• Ensure proper labeling, indexing, and accessibility of case files.
• Collaborate with Secretary and Assistant Secretary to understand case file requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Paralegal Studies program or prelaw track.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to recognize document types and legal relevance.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and document formats.
• Comfortable working independently and following clear instructions.
• Experience with document management systems is a plus.
• Strong judgment in distinguishing between duplicates and identifying required records.
  
  

Compensation:

• $25.00 per hour
• Full Time during summer months, Monday Friday 8:30am5:00pm.
