Production Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Located in New Gloucester, ME, Pineland Farms is a natural beef producer committed to producing the highest quality all-natural beef from cattle raised in the Eastern region of the country. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a full-time position and while the general schedule is 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, flexibility in schedule is sometimes required to meet the demands of the company.

We will train the right person. Team members are responsible for working in a safe manner that complies with all HACCP, USDA, and company policies. Responsibilities may include machine operation of meat production equipment (packaging, steak cutting, grinding, etc) to company standards.

This is a full-time position and while the general schedule is 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, this role requires adaptability to address the needs of the company and manage unexpected situations.

Duties include and are not limited to:

Production:

• Set up and operate machinery in accordance with performance standards.
• Produce meat products in accordance with developed specifications
• Maintain proper documentation for produced items
• Package meat products in accordance with developed specifications

General:

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work with other team members to achieve organizational goals
• Identify out of conformance products and report to Supervisor or Quality Assurance
• Report any unsafe working conditions to Supervisor or Quality Assurance
• Completing additional tasks as needed which not described in this task description

Previous production machine operation preferred but not required. Basic understanding of food safety systems, can work in a refrigerated environment, able to work as a part of a team, desire to learn and grow. Ability to consistently follow up on tasks and follow both written and verbal instructions is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
