What will you do as a PMC GI Tech:
The GI Technologist applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. The GI Technologist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week.
A day in the life of a PMC GI Tech may include:
- Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the patient including providing a safe environment for the patient.
- Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the procedure.
- Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens.
- Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
- Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
- Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA is highly desired.
Previous experience as a GI Technologist preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols desired.

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
