Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Financial Controller role located in Pinehurst, NC. The Financial Controller will assist in overseeing the preparation of financial statements, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role will work closely with senior leadership and the accounting team to ensure strong internal controls, timely reporting, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll processing, and general ledger entries
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and related reports
- Help maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Assist with annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax requirements
- Perform financial analysis to support business initiatives and leadership decision-making
- Support and collaborate with the accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in evaluating accounting systems and helping implement process improvements
- Communicate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial partners as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
- Strong Analytical Skills and expertise in Finance-related Decision Making
- Solid background in Accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, and GAAP
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with industry-related financial regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA track or intention to pursue CPA is a plus)
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience in the precious metals or collectibles industry is an advantage
