SUMMARY:
We're looking for a Graphic Designer to support the growth of our in-house marketing team. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative Services Manager to produce printed and digital materials, maintain organized design files, and help keep projects moving efficiently across departments. The best candidate will be a proficient graphic designer with a self-starting attitude and meticulous attention to detail. Marketing needs fluctuate throughout the year, so workload may vary week to week. This role will primarily focus on maintaining and organizing the resort’s digital assets, with smaller design projects assigned as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience in graphic design preferred. Requires proficiency in Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, as well knowledge of print production guidelines and best practices. Must have a keen eye for detail, highly-organized, can manage multiple projects on a deadline and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate can be agile without sacrificing quality and maintains a high level of professionalism with interdepartmental “clientele”. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret requests for materials from departments across the resort and deliver in a timely fashion
- Traffic projects according to departmental procedure from work order, design, copywriting, proofing, editing, and obtaining approvals through final production
- Proactively perform audit of materials to ensure brand consistency
- Maintain a tracking calendar of projects and status
- Maintain and organize brand assets using Digital Asset Management system
- Collaborate with in-house marketing team members
- Assist in development of departmental marketing needs based on approved templates
- Ensure consistent application of brand standards across materials
- Have a solid foundation of printing processes
- Prepare digital and print files according to production specifications
- Maintain excellent file organization and follow established processes for asset creation and management
- Provide image retouching and additional image manipulation if needed
- Take initiative to meet agreed upon deadlines and proactively communicate with the team to manage projects
- Respectfully discuss feedback with directors and peers
- Proactively share their ideas and passion, contributing to team discussion
