About the Role:
As an Accounting Clerk for our team, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional service to our clients and internal departments by ensuring a smooth and efficient accounting process. To excel in this role, you need strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely, professional, and detail-oriented manner.
What You'll Do:
- Prioritize accuracy and customer service by responding to inquiries from internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions from start to finish, including data entry, invoice processing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Ensure vendor invoices and client payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain up-to-date and properly documented accounting records within internal systems.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Keep detailed records of all accounting transactions and communications.
- Investigate and resolve vendor or client disputes related to payments or invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
- Provide clear communication and support regarding payment methods, statements, and accounting policies.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Have experience communicating with clients and vendors via phone and email (this is VERY important).
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven track record in client and vendor relations.
- Proven experience managing full-cycle AP and AR processes, including creating, sending, and tracking invoices and payments.
- Familiarity with reconciling accounts, handling disputes, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer systems and relevant accounting software.
