Job Overview:
The Elementary School Reflective Practice Substitute is dedicated to helping students engage in reflective learning practices that foster personal growth, academic achievement, and social-emotional development. This role focuses on teaching students how to reflect on their learning experiences, set goals, assess their progress, and make adjustments to improve their outcomes. The position involves supporting teachers in implementing reflective practices within the classroom and guiding students to take ownership of their learning process.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Possesses the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and fingerprinting.
- Substitute Teaching License
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with English Language Learners and special student populations, including students with developmental disabilities and GATE students
- Strongly committed to improving academic outcomes for all students
- Demonstrates proficiency in communication, both oral and written, among parents, students, colleagues, and other stakeholders
