Job Title: Swim Team Assistant Coach
Job Purpose: Provide competitive swimmers with high level swim instruction to master technique in a motivating atmosphere that furthers the participant’s skill and confidence. Assist Head Swim Coach in the daily Swim Team operations and at meets, ensuring genuine hospitality and a positive member experience for all Club Fit Swim Team participants.
Operational:
- Supervise daily practices and meets under the direction of the Head Coach
- Instruct technique appropriate for skill and age level.
- Show attention to detail by developing a strategic practice schedule, setting daily individual and team goals.
- Create an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants.
- Enforce pool/club policies.
- Be punctual for all practice times.
- Exhibit professional appearance and behavior.
- Maintain high team standards assuring participants are well-mannered while in the facility and conscientious of our other community members.
- Ensure all hours worked are appropriately recorded.
- Wear uniform including club-issued shirt and nametag.
Communication:
- Teach all students with a positive and motivational approach
- Work effectively with other swim coaches and aquatic staff
- Ensure proper and clear communication with members, and co-workers.
- Keep the Aquatic Director informed of all issues concerning the swim team.
- Partner with MOD when necessary
Service:
- Be knowledgeable of all Club Fit programs and schedules, not limited to the Swim Team assuring that the members are certain that we care about their well being
- Partner with swim team parents to address their concerns and be flexible and accommodating to all participants in the Club Fit Swim Team program
- Maintain a good rapport with students, parents, co-workers and demonstrate a commitment to embracing the neighborhood.
Professional and Technical Knowledge:
- Currently working towards attaining Nationally Sanctioned Swim Coach - USA or ASCA Certification
- Maintain current CPR AED - AHA, ARC, ASHI

Ongoing Club Fit Training through 1huddle Learning Management System:
- Bloodborne Pathogens (annually)
- Emergency Response Protocol (ERP) (bi-annually)
- Sexual Harassment (annually)
- Cyber Security (annually)
- Preventing Child Sex Abuse (annually)
Contributes To Team Effort by:
- Maintaining positive relationships with members and staff assuring that the members are certain that we care about their well being.
- Always present a positive attitude regarding all aspects of the club
- Performing all tasks as assigned to ensure quality programming and follow-up.
