Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) – Urgent Care
Pine Tree Urgent Care is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our growing provider-owned urgent care practice in Bangor, Maine.
We welcome applicants with urgent care experience, but we also encourage new graduates and RTs from hospital settings to apply. Experience with Medical Assistant duties is a plus, but we are happy to provide cross-training for the right candidate.
What You'll Do:
Radiology Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographs (chest, extremities, etc.)
- Operate digital radiography equipment
- Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety
- Review image quality and transmit studies to PACS
- Perform routine equipment quality checks
Clinical Responsibilities
Training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities may include:
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining vital signs and medical histories
- Point-of-care testing (strep, influenza, COVID-19, urinalysis, etc.)
- Assisting providers with procedures
- Medication administration (if qualified)
- Preparing exam rooms
- Maintaining infection control standards
- Accurate EMR documentation
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) or eligible for state licensure
- BLS certification
Preferred
- Urgent care, emergency department, outpatient, or hospital experience
- Medical Assistant experience
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Opportunities for per diem coverage may also be available
