Overview
We are seeking an energetic, experienced, and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position requires flexibility of work schedules, with regular day, evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house team members and coordinate with back-of-house team members.
- Ensure outstanding customer service and promptly resolve guest concerns.
- Train, schedule, and evaluate employees.
- Monitor labor costs, sales performance, and operating expenses.
- Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure cash handling procedures and daily financial reporting are completed accurately, while maintaining loss prevention measures.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Support the General Manager in achieving sales, profitability, and operational goals.
- Create promotions and manage schedule of events and entertainment, coordinating efforts with social media expert.
- Maintain daily checklist of responsibilities for team members and ensure completion during each shift.
- Build lasting customer relationships and provide excellent customer service to all guests.
Qualifications
- 3 years of restaurant management and supervisory experience.
- Strong customer service, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and labor cost control.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications. TOAST experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or business is a plus.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license required.
- Must authorize and pass background check.
Schedule Requirements
- Availability to work daytime, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work opening, mid, and closing shifts.
- Must be available during peak business hours, weekdays, and including Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the restaurant during shifts.
- Must be coordinated enough to carry and deliver hot dishes and manage large trays.
