Pine Street Bakery is a neighborhood café located in The Heights of Hood River, OR. We specialize in crafting artisanal breads, house-made pastries, delicious sandwiches, and exceptional coffee beverages.
We pride ourselves in our commitment to the community by sourcing ingredients from local farmers and providing professional and welcoming customer service to each of our customers.
We are currently seeking a part-time retail/barista to join our team. Must be available to work Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays with varying hours between 6am-5pm. Pay rate depends on experience, performance and the amount of training that you may need. The listed pay also includes tips (average of $6/hr.).
A PSB Retailer excels at customer service, takes pride in creating superior coffee drinks, and thrives at working as a team. All Retailers participate in the maintenance and cleanliness of Pine Street Bakery, run customer orders and share their knowledge of all Bakery products with customers and coworkers.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Professional and friendly customer service
- Excellent in-person communication skills with customers and coworkers
- Problem solving and multi-tasking
- Must model all retail expectations, policies, and procedures, while setting the best possible example.
- Previous Barista knowledge and experience is preferred
- Weekday and weekend availability preferred
- 16 years of age
- OR Food Handler Card (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Educating self and customers on PSB product knowledge.
- Constantly improving Barista skills through education and training.
- Displays a positive attitude, is punctual and helpful to others.
- Customer service and product knowledge.
- Stays thoughtfully busy at all times, regardless of customer flow.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
