What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista / Store Manager Track position at Pine Scone Cafe?
Pine Scone Cafe is looking for motivated candidates that excel at providing excellent customer service and learning new skills. This position has the potential to grow into the role of Store Manager. Previous Barista experience or training is highly preferred but not required. Previous experience with multi-channel ordering, employee supervision, and key holder responsibilities is highly preferred.
The pay range for the starting Barista Position is $8.50–$11.50/hr based on relevant experience.
The pay range for Barista Shift Supervisor/Manager in Training is $10–$14/hr.
The pay range for Manager is $14–$17/hr
In addition to hourly pay, the employee earns tips at an average rate of an additional $4–$6/hr in addition to expedited pay options, Paid Time Off* and potential bonus earnings.

General Responsibilities–Barista:
- Operate cash register accurately and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate Espresso Machine and coffee grinders to make high-quality, consistent beverages
- Assemble and cook food items
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and retail displays
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle issues promptly
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Operate Machinery including Espresso Machines and Ovens
- Be able to bend, lift, stand, reach, move quickly in a confined space
General Responsibilities–Manager:
- Staff supervision and maintaining compliance for food and beverage prep
- Ensuring high quality customer service
- Scheduling
- Ordering and Maintaining Product Inventory
- Daily availability and the flexibility to cover shifts and ensure adequate staffing
- General maintenance of cafe equipment
- Drink recipe creation
- Other duties
