School Social Worker

Effective: For the remainder of the school year and beyond

Preferred:

• Three years successful school social work or other social work experience with school-age students
• LMSW or LLMSW working toward LMSW, school certified

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support services to students individually and in small groups to address social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
• Conduct safety assessments, crisis intervention, and grief/crisis response as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community agencies to develop and implement student support plans.
• Participate in the development and implementation of 504 plans, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Conduct student needs assessments, behavioral observations, and provide input on interventions.
• Support classroom teachers by delivering whole-class social-emotional learning lessons and modeling positive behavioral strategies.
• Assist in coordinating services and referrals to outside agencies when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
• Promote a positive, inclusive school culture through proactive relationship-building and student advocacy.

Rate of Pay: Per current Master Agreement
