Pay
- $16.00 per hour for applicants without an active Maine PSS certification
- $17.00 per hour for applicants with an active Maine PSS certification
- $18.50 per hour for supervisors
Schedule
Monday-Friday, part-time (8-24 hours per week). Available assignments may vary based on client needs.
Service Areas
Bangor, Brewer, and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide personal care as outlined in each client's authorized care plan.
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Accurately document services provided.
- Report changes in a client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and professional boundaries.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Active Maine PSS certification preferred.
- Applicants who do not have an active Maine PSS certification must enroll in an approved PSS training program and obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must successfully complete required background checks and pre-employment screening.
- Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the client assignment.
- Must be compassionate, dependable, and professional.
