Qualifications:

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education for Advanced Practice Nurse Positions: For Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) positions, applicants must possess a graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the area of expertise or specialty indicated by the position.
Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Additional License Requirements for Advanced Practice Nurse Positions: Applicants for Advanced Practice Nurse positions must be licensed or registered by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States in the clinical specialty required by the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-13: One (1) of specialized experience with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This specialized experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples Include: Engage a nursing healthcare program through evaluations with implementation or writing nursing correction plans or policies. Plan employee training, resolve technical matters for the nursing care system, and provide advisory services to nursing staff. Monitor nursing program functions, compile data and statistics for reports, presentation, accountability to facility leadership and commissioning board.

- Supervise, plan, direct, manage and evaluate the Healthcare Nursing Program for multiple tiers based to community needs. Evaluate staff work performance and establish patient care priorities.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate medical practices, and adjust treatment plans.
- Serve as subject matter expert to nursing staff, provide technical guidance, mentor APN's through coordination of care, and identify training needs.
- Responsible for nursing program compliance to commissioned board accountability, compile and analyze programmatic data in order to produce reports, correction plans, and audits.
