Assistant Mechanic – Entry Level
Pine Lake Companies is seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Assistant Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of company vehicles, landscaping equipment, and small engines. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge who is interested in learning and developing their skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and basic repairs on trucks, trailers, mowers, and landscaping equipment
- Perform oil changes, tire changes, filter replacements, and other preventative maintenance
- Help diagnose mechanical issues under the direction of the Lead Mechanic
- Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, tools, and work areas
- Pick up parts and supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or a strong interest in learning
- Previous experience working with vehicles, small engines, or landscaping equipment is preferred but not required
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate in English or Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in different positions for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate tools and mechanical equipment
