Assistant Principal, Pine Hill Elementary School
The Sherborn Public Schools seek an innovative instructional leader committed to academic excellence, educational equity, and the social-emotional wellness of students and staff.
Responsibilities
●Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and assess effective curriculum strategies that align with educational standards and the unique needs of elementary school students.
●Support educators in identifying and addressing individual professional development needs to enhance overall teaching quality.
●Collaborate with teachers through the structure of PLC and Data Team Meetings to analyze student performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions.
●Work closely with all educators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
●Foster open and effective communication with parents regarding curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives.
●Organize and participate in community events to build strong partnerships between the school and the community.
●Conduct regular classroom observations with a keen focus on teaching practices, student engagement, and the implementation of instructional strategies.
●Develop the school-wide instructional schedule
●Coordinate MCAS testing schedules and administrative structures
●Other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
●Massachusetts Principal/Assistant Principal License (PK-8)
●Master’s degree
●Proven experience as an elementary school teacher with a strong record of successful teaching and student outcomes.
●Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a leadership or administrative role.
●Strong knowledge of current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
●Commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion
●Understanding of child development and social-emotional needs
●Knowledge of curricular standards and contemporary instructional practices
●Experience with teacher supervision and evaluation
●Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders
●Effective oral and written communication skills
●Strong organizational skills
●Drive for continuous learning and improvement
Salary range: $120,000-$130,000 commensurate with experience, 204 day contract
